The Division for Diagnostics of Nuclear Power Plants at VUJE, a.s., welcomed the Ukrainian Ambassador to Slovakia, His Excellency Myroslav Kastran, on the occasion of the successful acceptance tests of the BUBler telerobotic device, attended by representatives of the procurement department of NAEK Energoatom and experts from the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant.

The BUBler telerobot, designed for checking the tightness of steam generators, is not yet used in any other Ukrainian power plant.

The testing of the device took place from October 20 to 27, 2025, and confirmed that the BUBler, developed by our company, fully meets the customer’s requirements. This is already the third device that VUJE, a.s., has manufactured this year for a Ukrainian nuclear power plant, including the new generation IRIS 24 telerobot. Historically, we delivered the first two manipulators to the Khmelnytskyi NPP in 2008 — the ZOK-IRIS-02 manipulator for steam generator inspection and the ZOK-OPZ 05 for plugging leaking heat exchanger tubes.

The symbolic importance of the long-term cooperation was also emphasized by the Ukrainian Ambassador to Slovakia, His Excellency Myroslav Kastran, after visiting VUJE: “Ukraine and Slovakia see significant potential in the development of nuclear energy, so close cooperation, exchange of experience, and coordinated interaction between our countries are simply indispensable.”

Adrian Kovalyk, Director of the Division for Diagnostics of Nuclear Power Plants at VUJE, a.s., confirmed that the development of the new generation of telerobots IRIS 24 and BUBler, as well as the modernization of equipment under our direction, represent the cutting edge of Slovak technology in the service of nuclear safety. “The true recognition is when the customer comes back,” he concluded.
