With the participation of Prime Minister Robert Fico, our company VUJE signed an important Memorandum of Understanding with Newcleo.
We are part of a strategic milestone for the nuclear future. In the presence of Prime Minister Robert Fico, Minister of Economy Denisa Saková, and energy sector experts, a professional conference on the development and deployment of advanced nuclear technologies was held in Jaslovské Bohunice in partnership with VUJE, a. s., and JAVYS.
During the event, our Chairman of the Board Zoltán Harsányi and Stefano Buono from Newcleo signed a Memorandum of Understanding concerning the development and preparation of data centers as an essential component of the information and data infrastructure for advanced modular reactors (AMR) of the fourth generation and new types of reusable fuels.
This means not only more efficient use of spent fuel, but also a reduction of radioactive waste volume to 10–15% of current levels.
"Slovakia is on the threshold of an energy transformation – and VUJE is there," emphasized the importance of the memorandum Andrej Žiarovský, Director for Strategic Development and International Projects.
Our company has long been one of the key players in the field of nuclear energy, research, and technology development. The cooperation with Newcleo confirms the expert level of #VUJE and our ambition to be an active shaper of Slovakia's energy self-sufficiency, the development and preparation of AMR data centers, and the energy future of Europe.
