Success of VUJE behind the Arctic Circle: Building of transmission line in Norway is finished (video)
The project of building a transmission line in Norway was one of the crucial projects of VUJE abroad. It was led by a Vice-chairman of the Board of Directors, and a director of VUJE NORD, a. s. Alexander Kšiňan, and a project manager Juraj Tóth. Strengthening the electrical network between Northern and Southern Norway has improved life of this Nordic country.
The project at the Norwegian Fjords was both, logistically and organizationally demanding. Our workers were for a long time far away from their mother company and, given the location, their working conditions were very specific. Our team of 51 Slovak specialists worked even in temperatures of -15 degrees Celsius. While working extremely hard on 58 kilometres, there were areas where it was impossible to get by vehicles. That is why a helicopter, flying for almost 1000 hours within 3 years, was of great help. During this time, an unbelievable amount of 189 electric masts were built and put into service.
