VUJE won the tender for the supply of a hydrogen concentration monitoring system for NPP in Turkey

VUJE was declared as the winner of the tender for the supply of the Hydrogen Concentration Monitoring System for the four power units of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant, Turkey.

The Hydrogen Concentration Monitoring System provides information on the gas concentration in the air volume of the containment. The system is classified as nuclear safety related and significantly contributes to the prevention of severe nuclear accidents.

This system is result of genuine VUJE development and has been in development since the early 90's.

Uniqueness of this system lies in the fact that three independent physical principles are used to calculate the exact concentration value instead of two, which is usual for our market competitors.

VUJE successfully delivered this system to several other nuclear power plants: Paks NPP units 1,2,3,4 (Hungary), Bohunice NPP units 3,4 (Slovakia), Mochovce NPP units 1,2,3,4 (Slovakia) and Rivne NPP units 3,4 (Ukraine).

In accordance with the Regulation of the Turkish Atomic Energy Authority (TAEK - Türkiye Atom Enerjisi Kurumu) on Equipment Procurement Process for Nuclear Facilities and Approval of Manufacturers published in the Official Gazette No. 29369, dated 28/05/2015, manufacturers who are manufacturing safety class equipment to nuclear facilities within the borders of Turkey have to obtain Manufacturer Approval from Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NDK - Nükleer Düzenleme Kurumu).

Within this process, our company was subject of comprehensive evaluation and detailed audit by Turkish authorities, which VUJE successfully passed and became the certified manufacturer of the Hydrogen Concentration Monitoring System for Akkuyu NPP.
