We won another contract in Ukraine! Based on the previous results of cooperation with NAEK Energoatom, we will produce a manipulator for the South Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant
Just a few weeks after the final delivery of the manipulator for sealing the heat exchanging tubes in steam generators manufactured by our company for one of the largest nuclear power plants in the world, the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, we won another contract for the supply of the same equipment for the South Ukrainian NPP. The entire process - from design, construction and production, as well as personnel training and commissioning – was carried out by the Division for Diagnostics of Nuclear Power Plants of VUJE, a. s., under the management of its Director and Member of the Board of Directors, Adrian Kovalyk.
Despite the difficult times Ukraine is currently going through, it is investing in high-end equipment and modernizing its nuclear facilities. We delivered the first manipulator to the South Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant in 2003, now we are working on its modern successor, which we are planning to deliver at the end of this year.
"I consider this contract to be an expression of the trust and satisfaction of our Ukrainian customer NAEK Energoatom. It is a huge commitment for us, and at the same time we are determined not only to fulfill the customer's expectations but, as VUJE is reputed for, to add something extra, to offer an even better technical solution," confirms, very proud of his team, the Director of the Division for Diagnostics of Nuclear Power Plants and Member of the VUJE Board of Directors, Adrian Kovalyk (in the middle of the photo).
The mentioned manipulators are designed for sealing of the leak-prone heat exchanging tubes in steam generators. The whole process is remotely controlled, and staff operate in absolute safety from a special control container located in the reactor hall.
The delivery of a comprehensive tailor-made solution for the South Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant is scheduled for November 2023.
Our company has developed and supplied a similar type of manipulators to the nuclear power plants in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the Russian Federation.
