The Minister of Economy Award – Innovation Act of the Year, which we received for the Auxiliary Power Consumption Simulator of Križovany Substation is already at VUJE

Artur Bobovnický, Director of the Innovation Department, and Eva Harnišová, Project Manager from the Slovak Innovative and Energy Agency officially handed over the award to Matej Korec, Chief Executive Officer of VUJE, a. s., Peter Drobný, Director of the NPP Personnel Training Division and Marián Jančovič, Head of the Design and Implementation of Simulator Training for Energy Department. Part of the meeting was also a demonstration of the winning simulator usage, as well as demonstration of other training equipment used in training at VUJE, a. s.

Practical training on a simulator with an electrical model of the substation auxiliary power consumption, including automation, interlocks, protections and failure signaling and with simulation of remote and local control can increase confidence and practical skills of the substation operating personnel in rare and difficult manipulations as well as in solving failure and emergency situations. Improving the substation personnel qualification helps to improve the reliability and safety of the power and transmission system, reduces the number of abnormal conditions and minimizes operating costs.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the official award ceremony was postponed from last year 2020.
